The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) is pleased to announce our scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year, with $61,500 in awards available through 9 different scholarships and fellowships. The awards recognize superior student performance, assist with unmet financial need, and support original research relevant to landscape architecture. Information on the various awards, eligibility, and application requirements can be found at: www.lafoundation.org/scholarships.
Among these awards is the recently added $20,000 LAF Honor Scholarship in Memory of Joe Lalli, FASLA. An extraordinary gift from Jeanne Dawson-Lalli established this endowed scholarship in memory of her late husband and his 46-year career as a landscape architect, artist, philanthropist, mentor, and teacher. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a student pursuing a Master’s degree in landscape architecture.
Please help us spread the word to qualified students. Look out for the hardcopy of the attached poster that will be mailed to your office for prominent display in your department. You can also forward this email on to fellow faculty members, your respective student ASLA chapter, and to students who may be interested in applying.
Application deadlines are Feb 1 and Feb 15, 2017.
